2024 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend theme was released today. As we mentioned here, this will be the first race in the 2024 season to get your Coast to Coast medal. I had the privilege to take part of this EPIC weekend this year and run my first marathon. And I am hooked. This weekend is a great way to challenge yourself, run another race, or even have a ‘run’-cation. Every mile is magic, so let’s see what this year’s magic will be.
Walt Disney World 5k
Your “best friend” Pluto will be your partner for this 3.1 mile adventure around the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Challenges
There are two challenges available during the weekend. If you’re feeling a little “Goofy”, then the Goofy Challenge is for you. If that’s not challenging enough, then bring our your inner “Dopey” and sign up for the Dopey Challenge.
Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge
January 6th and 7th, 2024
Complete the both the Half Marathon and the Marathon races on pace and earn:
- Walt Disney World Half Marathon Medal
- Walt Disney World Marathon Medal
- Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge Medal
That’s a grand total of 3 medals and 39.3 miles across all four parks!
You’ll need to register for the Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge, which includes both races, in order to be eligible for the challenge medal.

That’s a grand total of 6 Medals and 48.6 miles in one weekend!
You’ll need to register for the Dopey Challenge, which includes all 4 races, in order to be eligible for the challenge medals.
