Disney is famous for their parks, the ambiance, and the ability to immerse you in a magical world. There is also amazing stores in every park, every resort and Disney Springs. Giving everyone the ability to bring Disney home with you. We all know there are hundreds, if not thousands of different souvenirs you can bring from the parks. We are going to take a look some of the more popular, higher end souvenirs.
Disney Artwork
Walt Disney World has beautiful artwork throughout their parks and resorts, but did you know they have stores where you can bring some home with you. Epcot even has a whole festival dedicated to art, Festival of the Arts and it runs normally in January and February. One of best stores to do a little shopping for future wall hangings is the Art of Disney in Disney Springs.
This gallery-style shop is filled with art and collectible inspired by Disney films, theme parks and characters. From souvenir postcards, to beautifully framed prints and paintings. There are even animation cels, figurines and meet and greets. Renowned Disney artists often appear and sign their pieces. You can have some of the artwork personalized with a frame and they will ship it home for you. I have a few pieces hanging in my house, and it’s a great way to bring Disney home with you. You can also find this store in Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
Did someone say they like a little bling ?
If you are looking for something a little different, a little “blingier”, then Arribas Brothers has the perfect souvenir for you. Not only do they have the distinction of having the most expensive souvenir on Disney property, think around $45k, but they have something to appeal to everyone. Artisans that specialize in blown glass, etching, crystals. Two brothers started in a tiny shop in Sleeping Beauty’s castle in 1967 and are now in 19 locations in Disney parks worldwide. Artisans are each location to show you the art of glass blowing, along with many different options for your souvenir. Blown glass figurines and vases. Rhinestone encrusted earrings, favorite characters or even a tiara, so you can be your own princess. Don’t forget making a fashion statement…
More than t-shirts, shorts, and mouse ears, Disney has their own unique fashion statements available. Two of the main ones are from designers Vera Wang and Dooney & Burke. Carrying special editions bags, purses, wallets and even key chains these are sought after and highly collectable. It’s become, almost a religion for some, to get the latest releases on the day they are released. They also offer special event bags, like the runDisney Events, the festivals, special movies and so much more. I know for some, it’s the souvenir to bring home and carry a little Disney with you all year long. A special bag is a great way to remember your trip, I personally love getting one that represents the vacation, like the special edition runDisney event one when I run the races.
Not to be outdone, Loungefly has an extensive collection of Disney backpacks. Most of them are available online, retail stores, but a few reserved for in parks only. These are great “starter bags” for older kids (or adults) that don’t want to carry a regular bag or back pack, but not ready to spend $180 or more on bag for the parks. It’s a favorite of me teen daughters, and I will confess, I have a couple myself.
Not wanting a new bag, don’t want to carry anything through the parks, then another “fashionista” option is jewelry. Both Pandora and Alex & Ani have a huge selection of bracelets and charms available the parks. I love to stack both of these and wear them with pride, once again finding one that has something special to do with the trip. The rest of the year when you wear them, you can look back and smile in remembrance of the reason you bought that Yoda bracelet, or that amazing Slinky Dog Pandora charm.
