May the 4th be with you! It’s that day of the year when all Star Wars lovers unite. Whether you know how far a parsec is or you barely know who Yoda is, everyone celebrates today. Can’t make it Black Spire out-post at either Disney park or take trip on the Galatic Starcruiser? There are still lots of ways to celebrate this day. So how do you celebrate Star Wars at home? We’ve compiled a few ideas to celebrate your favorite Jedi or Sith.
Watch a Movie (or 8)
What’s a better excuse for calling into work than a binge watch party ? You can watch all 8 movies in order, but what is the correct order ? Some swear that you start with a New Hope, or technically, the 4th movie, since it was released first. While others say you can’t start there, you must start with Phantom Menace. So where do you start ? Do you count Rogue One and Solo as part of the binge ? Since they are considered “stand alone” movies. There are so many ways this could go, but no matter which way you choose to binge, it’s going to be a great time ! In case you weren’t aware, here’s the order …
- The Phantom Menace
- Attack of the Clones
- Revenge of the Sith
- The Force Awakens
- Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
- The Last Jedi
- Solo: A Star Wars Story
- The Rise of Skywalker
And don’t forget all the bonus content that you can stream on Disney+. There are lots of series that are part of the universe that can only be found on there.

Take a Bite Out of the Universe
There are literally thousands of recipes on the internet to help you celebrate Star Wars. Whole websites dedicated to this part of the cinematic universe and some phenomenal goodies to go along with it. Here are a few of our favorites.
Bantha Cocoa – Bantha milk is good, but Bantha Cocoa is even better. Here’s what you need to make this delectable treat.
- 4 cups of milk of your choice
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 8 oz. white chocolate chips
- 2 drops of Blue food coloring
- whipped cream
Cook over medium-low heat, stirring often, until the white hot chocolate comes to a simmer and melted. Do not let it boil. Remove from heat and serve immediately, topped with whipped cream.
Pretzel Lightsabers – Nothing says May the Force Be With You then your own lightsaber, even better when you can take a bite of it after the battle.
- Pretzel sticks
- Colored candy wafer melts (most grocery stores and hobby stores carry them)
Melt wafer melts until creamy and dip pretzel sticks into it. Shake off excess candy and lay on a cooling rack or non-stick cookie sheet. Place into refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Stormtrooper Marshmallows – While Stormtroopers are known for not hitting anything with their blasters, these treats are sure to be a hit.
- Jumbo Marshmallow
- Black Food Marker
- Lollipop Stick
Use the black food marker to draw the mask on the marshmallow and just top on the lollipop stick. Check out the website here with directions on how to draw the mask.

These are just a few out out of this world treats to help you celebrate. You can find even more recipes at this Star Wars website dedicated to just that.
Celebrate the Original Princess
Carrie Fisher a.k.a Leia Organa is THE original princess. She was one of the Rebel Alliance’s strongest leaders and everyone’s favorite general. She was iconic in this role and not just for THE gold string bikini she was forced to wear by Jabba the Hut. And today, May 4th, 2023, she will finally be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and you can watch the ceremony HERE. Which makes today a great day to raise up a toast in her honor. Whether it is Blue Milk, Bantha Blaster, or even a Takodana Quencher.
