Over the past few years, this rumor has really gained momentum. This morning, it started making rounds again. However, it has now been confirmed. Guests booked at a Disney Resort will now be charged an overnight parking fee.
Now, while this may frustrate some of you, most other Orlando hotels also charge parking fees, so it was only a matter of time before Disney followed suit. Their parking rates are very competitive with places like Universal Orlando Resorts Hotels.
The frustration for this change is likely going to be very split. For those not driving, you will not be affected.
The new parking rates will NOT be included in the package and will be collected by the resorts, so be sure to plan ahead for that. These rates are for vacations booked AFTER 3/21/2018. Guests who are currently booked will not have to pay this fee. Please see the parking fees below:
Standard Overnight Parking Charges per Resort Category:
- Disney Value Resorts: $13 per night
- Disney Moderate Resorts: $19 per night
- Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts: $24 per night
