Disney is a magical place and it’s especially magical for a toddler, but meltdowns can put a damper on that magic. Here are my personal tips on how to keep the magic going during your stay in Orlando.

Tip 1: Stroller
Bring a good stroller that has a deep incline for naps, a large shade and pockets for all the stuff you need. Also make sure it is light and easy to bring on and off transportation. It is helpful to bring a stroller fan and rain cover. If you rent a stroller from a local source it’s a good idea to get the insurance since there have been stroller thefts from the theme parks.
Tip 2: Naps
If you are staying on property, you could head back to the hotel for a nap but if you don’t want to take away so much time from your day there are places to accomplish this at the parks. The first option is the baby care stations that can be found at all parks. I love to go in the Odyssey building at EPCOT when it is open or the innovations buildings. Otherwise just finding an out of the way seating area is great, I have used the area by the tangled bathrooms and the walkway behind the speedway at Magic Kingdom. The animal trails and the areas by the tree of life are great at Animal Kingdom. Hollywood studios we have sat out of the way at the Hollywood Terror hotel.
Tip 3: Snacks
You can bring snacks and drinks into the park so make sure to pack your bag with lots of your child’s favorite snack and drinks, a hangry toddler can make everyone miserable. Our favorite snack to bring is frozen uncrustables. Mark your cups, snack containers and toys with your last name and number using masking tape so that if it gets thrown from the stroller you can get it back.
