Magicband+ goes west this fall. Magicband+ coming to Disneyland later this year with its momentous debut at Disneyland Resort. This innovation of wearable technology will deliver hands-free technology and unlock a new dimension of Disney storytelling.
After its successful launch at Walt Disney World Resort earlier this summer, it seemed logical that it would travel to Anaheim. MagicBand+ is a next-generation version of the original MagicBand, which originally came out in 2013. This new version enables you to see and feel the park experiences in a whole new way. Thanks to smart features like color-changing LED lights, gesture recognition and haptic vibrations you feel part of the park. Available in numerous designs and colors, it’s a great way to show of your personal style in the parks. It’s also rechargeable (charging cable included), waterproof and you have the ability through the Disneyland app to personalize it.
MagicBand+ will feature different experiences, depending on if you are at Walt Disney World or Disneyland Park. Here’s a few features in the new upcoming Disneyland version.
Personalize Disneyland
At launch, the MagicBand+ will boast a bunch of already loaded capabilities (with more to come in the future). Connect your theme park ticket or Magic Key through the Disneyland app as an easy way to enter the parks. It can also be used to check into your Lightning Lane reservations and, just a tap, will save all your memories from the Disney PhotoPass photographer.
Not be outdone, there are new, immersive elements and few surprises along the way. MagicBand+ will come to life during select nighttime spectaculars, complementing the magic in the skies by pulsing along with colorful, dancing light and vibrations. Coming to life during “World of Color” in Disney California Adventure and “Fantasmic!” and other select nighttime shows in Disneyland park.
Explore new areas with MagicBand+
Don’t forget to explore the parks for an all new immersive experience in Batuu. As you journey through Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge you will be able to take park in an all new interactive quest, Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters. Using your MagicBand+, you will be guided across Black Spire Outpost, finding virtual bounties. After finding the bounties, it’s as simple as logging into your Play Disney Parks app to reveal who’s hiding in the shadows. By using the augmented reality thermal viewer, will help you complete your mission and Raga Bua, your local guild master, will reward you with galactic credits.
