runDisney just announced the races for remainder of the 2023 and the 2024 season. While races are returning to Disneyland, those dates have not been announced yet. So it’s time to lace up your running shoes and ready, set, go !!!
runDisney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend
This fan favorite returns, once again, November 2nd – 5th, 2023. Set along the backdrop of the Food and Wine Festival, this weekend of running events combines most runners favorite things. Running and snacking. It’s a great way to to have an “excuse” to eat (and drink) around the Food and Wine Festival. While details have not been released on which races will be included, there are normally 3 races, with the possibility of getting 4 medals. The 5k, the 10k, the Half Marathon are the staples of the weekend. Also available is the Two Course Challenge, which is a special sign up to run the 10k and Half Marathon. This is the only race offered at Walt Disney World in the fall, and sells out incredibly fast.
runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend
Celebrating its 31st year Marathon Weekend returns January 3rd – 7th, 2024. This is only event at Walt Disney World that you can run the full marathon at. Races include the 4k, 10k, the Half Marathon and the Full Marathon. 4 Races, with the option of receiving 6 medals. You can run the individual races, or one of the two challenges available. The Goofy Challenge includes the Half Marathon and the Full Marathon medals, along with the Goofy Challenge Medal. If you’re feeling a little Dopey, then be sure to sign up for the Dopey Challenge. That is 4 days of racing, 48.6 miles of running, and 6 medals to show off. You not only get the medals for each individual race, you will receive the Goofy Challenge and the Dopey Challenge medals.
Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend
Not all princesses wear glass slippers, especially during February 22nd – 25th of 2024. The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend returns for the weekend to let everyone’s inner princess “fly”. Following along with the past races, it will include a 5k, 10k, Half Marathon and of course the Princess Challenge. Signing up for the challenge, includes running the 10k and the Half Marathon, for not only 19.3 miles of amazing Disney magic, the coveted Princess Challenge Medal.
runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend
Disney returned to spring racing with the inaugural Springtime Surprise in 2022 and it’s been a hit. Returning again in 2024 for the weekend of April 18th – 21st. This year’s theme of Pixar is a celebration of friendship, but next year will be completely different. That’s what makes this race so appealing, it’s different theme each year.
