Last week, I was lucky enough to be invited on a quick weekend trip out to Disney with a very specific goal in mind…Toy Story Land! I won’t bore you with an overview of the entire trip…yet. That will come later. But, FYI: 5 parks in 48 hours is ROUGH!
Back to Toy Story Land. We arrived at 6 am to take advantage of extra magic hours that began at 7 am. We were 5th in the parking lot that morning, so SCORE! At approximately 6:15 am, they let us into Hollywood Studios. They escorted us down Hollywood Boulevard and held us just in front of The Chinese Theater.

They held us here for about 15 minutes and then announced that they were going to escort us to TSL. Everyone in the line walked politely until we had to take one turn, and then people kind of rushed ahead causing groups to separate and people to get hit from behind by strollers. *Request: If you are pushing a stroller in this situation, please be mindful of the people in front of you. We can’t go any faster and we really don’t enjoy you playing bumper cars with our heels. After 4 times, I will get nasty with you and no one wants that.

At 6:34 am, we made it to Toy Story Land and the crowd was allowed to separate. We headed straight for Slinky Dog Dash. The queue was so much fun! We were on the second full coaster for the day, so we rode and of course…rode again. This coaster exceeded my expectations. For it being billed as a kids coaster, I had very low expectations and it blew me away. It was fun, fast, and the sound effects along the way made for a very exciting ride. The best part for me was seeing the progress of Star Wars from the top of the coaster. That was an unbelievable sight!
The slideshow above features images from the queue and the ride itself. All cell phone quality images. After our second ride (Again, a walk on), we headed over to the Alien Swirling Saucers. I remained off the ride to film it!
