Transformers: Rise of the Beast is being released this week. Making this a great time to revisit one of Universal’s top rides. Transformers: The Ride – 3D is a motion simulated ride where you help Optimus Prime defeat the Decepticons, once again.

Autobots, Roll Out !
Universal Studios welcomed the Autobots in June of 2013. The ride is located in Production Central in Soundstage 44. Based on the popular Transformers films, creator Michael Bay, worked alongside Universal creator. With an action-packed storyline, technology, all-new animation and massive sets, which grabs riders and does not stop until the very end.
Optimus Prime and Ironhide, along with other favorite Autobots , including Bumblebee, are along for the ride. Megatron is trying to take over the planet, with the help of Starscream, Devastator and others. Just a few of the iconic characters involved in the plot of protecting the Allspark.
N.E.S.T.
As you pass through Production Central in Universal Studios you can’t miss the N.E.S.T Base. Sitting atop is a giant 28-foot statue of Optimus Prime. Video monitors placed strategically throughout the queue welcome you into the world of N.E.S.T. Briefings along the queue share the actions of the Autobots and N.E.S.T. At the end of the queue, guests retrieve 3D glasses and hop aboard EVAC.

EVAC is a new character, doubling as the ride vehicle and the narrator for your adventure. The premise of the ride is simple, good versus bad. Decepticons have come to earth to steal the Allspark, and it’s up to all the recruits of N.E.S.T. to stop him. EVAC propels you down 2,000 feet of track and you are caught in the middle of an intergalactic war. As the Transformers duke it out all around you, audio effects, high definition projections and motion simulation make it feel real.
At the end of the ride, Optimus Prime thanks you for your bravery. Exiting through the Supply Vault, you can find lots of ride related merchandise. Including apparel, action figures, collectibles and more.
How do you ride ?
Express pass is available for the ride along with single rider line. There is a height restriction of a minimum of 40 inches tall, with supervision required for guest 40″ to 48″ tall. Handicap accessible, but guests must be able to transfer to the ride vehicle. Child swap is also available.
