Universal Studios in Orlando brought a little bit of everything new to the table in 2018; new attractions (Fast & Furious: Supercharged), new resorts (Universal’s Aventura Hotel), and even new foods (Voodoo Doughnuts). They continue to enhance their nighttime projection shows, but on Hogwarts Castle and the Cinematic Celebration and will seemingly continue to do so into the upcoming year.

While Universal’s 2019 is not as seemingly jam-packed as their Orlando neighbor, they continue to steadily bring the hits. The Wizarding World gets a new thrill ride in 2019; a coaster that has been promised to be highly themed. Standing where Dragon Challenge once stood in Hogsmeade, this new coaster is set to take place in a forest setting (Forbidden Forest assumingly). Otherwise, not much information has come out about it; though that definitely doesn’t stop theme park goers like myself from getting SUPER HYPED about it!
Their first Value Resort will be opening this year as well. Surfside Inn and Suites and Dockside Inn and Suites will take the beach and relaxation theme to a new level. Besides standard rooms, these resorts will also have two bedroom suites. Surfside will be opening first and rooms can already be booked starting in August, 2019.
