I thought this week we would look into some of the ways that your favorite Enchanted Adventures Travel Agent is here for you. Yes, we book your vacation, but we can do so much more. Which brings to mind, what does a travel agent really do?
Know – It – Alls
Okay, so we aren’t know it alls, but we are extremely knowledgeable in the destinations we sell. Most of the companies we work with have courses that provide us with all the knowledge of their brand. Some of them, we have to complete before we are even allowed to book. This is just one aspect of the knowledge we bring to our relationship.
We travel, yes, we love to travel and there is no better way to become an “expert” in something, then to experience it yourself. Traveling to the destinations we help with makes us more valuable to you. For example, I have traveled to Walt Disney World myself over 20 times. I have gone on my honeymoon there, a young couple and traveled with infant children. We’ve taken my parents along for a multi-generational trip and I have traveled solo. I have participated in the runDisney events, been to festivals and the after hours parties. This makes me extremely helpful to any number of clients that fit in those categories. Since we do travel, we can help you some of the “off the beaten path” tips and tricks. The ones that aren’t on Google or in the book from the bookstore.
The Personal Touch
One of my favorite things to tell potential clients is, I am a person, I am not a phone bank. When you have a question or concern you pick up the phone, call me and you get the same person on the phone every time. Agents learn your vacations, the dynamics of your family, and know what to do to make your vacations extraordinary.
We also have that same relationship with our travel partners. If a client has an issue arise before a trip, I have a contact at each company that I can go to for help. Being on their own, they would, once again, just get a phone bank. That is another level of personalization that we can add.
Just recently we had a cruise client with a mistake in her room assignment. Upon calling the cruise line directly, we were told, sorry, too bad, there isn’t anything we can do, multiple times. Reaching out to our regional manager, we were able to help the client fix the issue. This was a major issue and without the help of their agent, and that agent’s connection with the cruise line, the outcome would have been very different. One more way we bring a personal touch to your vacation.

We’ve all seen the news lately, the policies everywhere are changing dramatically and changing fast. On top of that, there are so many discounts, incentives and amazing deals out there you don’t want to miss out. That’s what we do, we stay up to date on all of these.
