Saturday, my family was looking for something to do. Given that we live in the Destin area, there is never a shortage of “beachy” things to do. We wanted to avoid those things and wanted to find something that wasn’t just aimlessly shopping!
We decided that mini-golf sounded fun! We have several options local to us. Goofy Golf in Fort Walton Beach is a very old mini-golf location. Very fun, but very aged! The Track in Destin offers a pretty fun course, but we wanted to try a new course!
Wild Willy’s Adventure Zone on Okaloosa Island has been around for a while. We have gone for the arcade and pizza before, but never played their course. We decided to give it a shot. It is priced reasonably for this area. Remember, I live in a major tourist town! At $9.99 per adult and $7.99 per child, it wasn’t horrible. (You can see the prices below, also note the prices for the other exciting things to do)

As you can see, their prices aren’t too bad! We spent quite a while playing!
Upon paying at the counter, we were given our putters and balls. It was great to have the putters matched for us! Usually, I end up grabbing the wrong size for myself and having to swap it out. They had about 10 different colored balls to choose from. That was nice! We each got to pick exactly what we like!
The course is laid out really well. It is very easy to get to your next hole. No guess work, no confusion. The automated dinosaurs were so neat! There were even some holes that when you sunk the shot, special things happened. I won’t give too much away about that, I’ll let you see for yourself!
Some more pictures of the course and the grounds! Very detailed!
As you can see, the course was really well thought out and full of detail! Each hole had a marker to tell you how many shots it should take and most had really cool facts about different dinosaurs! My kids had a great time playing on it. Being located smack dab on Okaloosa Island, during some months, traffic may be pretty heavy to get to Wild Willy’s. That was not the case today.
They pulled the rope!
In summary, we will definitely come back! The kids enjoyed their day and it was absolutely beautiful! Dino lovers will “roar” for this course! In fact, we will be back next weekend for a rematch!
