Coming to Disneyland Park beginning January 27th, Wondrous Journeys, is the heart of 100th anniversary celebration. The Disney 100 celebration at Disneyland Resort will include many special limited-time offerings taking place around the resort all year long. Created by Disney Live Entertainment, this spectacular nighttime show will kick off the event.
Celebrates a 100 Years Animation
Igniting the dreamer in all of us, the all-new show celebrates a 100 years of Walt Disney Animation. “Wondrous Journeys” will feature not to every film released by the iconic studio over the past century. Featuring music, characters and special moments, along with nods to every movie released. Including, but not limited to Encanto, Hercules, Peter Pan, Frozen, Big Hero 6 and many more.
In 1955 Walt Disney created a whole new form of family entertainment with the opening of Disneyland Park. This was three decades after he started creating the many memorable, big-screen stories, we all know and love. This is why Disneyland is the perfect place to debut “Wondrous Journeys.”
As always with anything Disney, music will be a play a huge part of this show, introducing an original new song, “It’s Wondrous”. Promising to capture your heart and, of course, spark your imagination. Check out the behind-the-scenes look at the recording studio.
Embark on an adventure filled with artistry, music, storytelling, and heart as you celebrate the dreamers of Disney Animation. Those that have shared their talents and imaginations for the last 100 years. State-of-the-art projection effects will surround you with blank pieces of paper, pencil sketches and splashes of color. Breathing life into our beloved characters from Mickey Mouse to Ariel to Mirabel. Not to be outdone, you can catch Baymax soaring high above Sleeping Beauty Castle, as he inspires us to fight for our dreams.

Stories come to life during as Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, the facade of “it’s a small world” and the Rivers of America are turned into an artist’s canvas. On select nights, it will be even bigger with the addition of fireworks in the sky above Disneyland park.
